The Progressive agenda has been around for a long time. Their main objective is to control the citizens of the United States of America. They are working tirelessly to promote their agenda. Progressives are not bad people, their views just contradict with what America stands for. Americans need to stop this agenda so that our country can be the leader of the world in future generations.

Below is part of a speech that was delivered by Franklin D. Roosevelt. This speech was given on January 11, 1944.

In our day these economic truths have become accepted as self-evident. We have accepted, so to speak, a second Bill of Rights under which a new basis of security and prosperity can be established for all regardless of station, race, or creed.

Among these are:

The right to a useful and remunerative job in the industries or shops or farms or mines of the Nation;

The right to earn enough to provide adequate food and clothing and recreation;

The right of every farmer to raise and sell his products at a return which will give him and his family a decent living;

The right of every businessman, large and small, to trade in an atmosphere of freedom from unfair competition and domination by monopolies at home or abroad;

The right of every family to a decent home;

The right to adequate medical care and the opportunity to achieve and enjoy good health;

The right to adequate protection from the economic fears of old age, sickness, accident, and unemployment;

The right to a good education.

All of these rights spell security. And after this war is won we must be prepared to move forward, in the implementation of these rights, to new goals of human happiness and well-being.

This is part of the Progressive agenda. The so called rights that are listed above are not rights at all. There is no possible way that a government can provide all of these things. It has been tried many different times around the world and failed. FDR’s Second Bill Of Rights looks a lot like the USSR’s Constitution circa 1977

THE BASIC RIGHTS, FREEDOMS, AND DUTIES OF CITIZENS OF THE USSR

Article 39. Citizens of the USSR enjoy in full the social, economic, political and personal rights and freedoms proclaimed and guaranteed by the Constitution of the USSR and by Soviet laws. The socialist system ensures enlargement of the rights and freedoms of citizens and continuous improvement of their living standards as social, economic, and cultural development programmes are fulfilled.

Enjoyment by citizens of their rights and freedoms must not be to the detriment of the interests of society or the state, or infringe the rights of other citizens.

Article 40. Citizens of the USSR have the right to work (that is, to guaranteed employment and pay in accordance wit the quantity and quality of their work, and not below the state-established minimum), including the right to choose their trade or profession, type of job and work in accordance with their inclinations, abilities, training and education, with due account of the needs of society.

This right is ensured by the socialist economic system, steady growth of the productive forces, free vocational and professional training, improvement of skills, training in new trades or professions, and development of the systems of vocational guidance and job placement.

Article 41. Citizens of the USSR have the right to rest and leisure.

This right is ensured by the establishment of a working week not exceeding 41 hours, for workers and other employees, a shorter working day in a number of trades and industries, and shorter hours for night work; by the provision of paid annual holidays, weekly days of rest, extension of the network of cultural, educational, and health-building institutions, and the development on a mass scale of sport, physical culture, and camping and tourism; by the provision of neighborhood recreational facilities, and of other opportunities for rational use of free time.

The length of collective farmers’ working and leisure time is established by their collective farms.

Article 42. Citizens of the USSR have the right to health protection.

This right is ensured by free, qualified medical care provided by state health institutions; by extension of the network of therapeutic and health-building institutions; by the development and improvement of safety and hygiene in industry; by carrying out broad prophylactic measures; by measures to improve the environment; by special care for the health of the rising generation, including prohibition of child labour, excluding the work done by children as part of the school curriculum; and by developing research to prevent and reduce the incidence of disease and ensure citizens a long and active life.

Article 43. Citizens of the USSR have the right to maintenance in old age, in sickness, and in the event of complete or partial disability or loss of the breadwinner.

The right is guaranteed by social insurance of workers and other employees and collective farmers; by allowances for temporary disability; by the provision by the state or by collective farms of retirement pensions, disability pensions, and pensions for loss of the breadwinner; by providing employment for the partially disabled; by care for the elderly and the disabled; and by other forms of social security.

Article 44. Citizens of the USSR have the rights to housing.

This right is ensured by the development and upkeep of state and socially-owned housing; by assistance for co-operative and individual house building; by fair distribution, under public control, of the housing that becomes available through fulfilment of the programme of building well-appointed dwellings, and by low rents and low charges for utility services. Citizens of the USSR shall take good care of the housing allocated to them.

Article 45. Citizens of the USSR have the right to education.

This right is ensured by free provision of all forms of education, by the institution of universal, compulsory secondary education, and broad development of vocational, specialised secondary, and higher education, in which instruction is oriented toward practical activity and production; by the development of extramural, correspondence and evening courses, by the provision of state scholarships and grants and privileges for students; by the free issue of school textbooks; by the opportunity to attend a school where teaching is in the native language; and by the provision of facilities for self-education.

Both FDR’s Second Bill of Rights and the USSR’s Constitution have many similarities. The USSR collapsed under its own weight in December of 1991. This is what happens when the government tries to create a utopia.

Now that we can see what happens when a government tries to provide these rights it should be obvious why the Founders of the Constitution of the United States left these “rights” out. They knew that government was not the giver of rights, that is for the Creator to do. Once government gets in the business of giving rights then government is in control over the people.

Health Care has been the “holy grail” of the Progressive agenda. Just a few more hurdles are left to cross before they accomplish this feat. Once they have a health care bill signed into law  anything is possible in their eyes. 

Well Congress finally passed health care reform. The Liberals have been trying to do this for decades and it has finally been done. Now all that is left for congress to do is merge the House and Senate bill together and send it up to President Obama to sign. This is supposed to be taking place in January 2010.

Now that the debate on the bill has come to a close we have a lot of work to do to clean this mess up. It is time to start organizing, volunteering, and getting involved in some form or another.

Many Governors are talking to their Attorney Generals to see if this bill is even Constitutional. Hopefully they can find something that makes it unconstitutional. Hopefully we can repeal this bill and start fresh with real ideas and real solutions. Real solutions are out there that do not involve taking over 1/6th of the American economy.

There is a lot of negative talk going on lately about how America is that cause of all the world’s problems. I disagree with this statement 100%. America is the solution to the world’s problems. The American experiment that started more than 200 years ago has worked and will continue to work if the citizens of this great country continue to get involved.

Since the creation of the United States Constitution, America has had one constitution. Other countries around the world have had many different constitutions over the same period. Doesn’t that sound like a good thing? The American style of government works and will continue to work if people wake up to this fact.

America is all about individual freedom. Individuals drive this country to greatness. Everyone working in their own interest is in the interest in the entire American population. That is how the government was set up over 200 years ago. The Founders knew that letting the individual make decisions about his well being was in the best interest of the whole. If you want to talk about a Utopia I believe that this is the Utopia everyone is looking for. It may not be the Utopia most people think about when they hear the word, but if you really think about it America is the world’s Utopia.

If capitalist America is the cause of all the problems in the world, why does everyone beg the United States for help? If capitalism is so bad, why do we pledge billions of dollars to help the world’s poor? Why is roughly 5% of the world’s population the greatest superpower that the world has every seen? When other countries have failed, America has stepped up to help.

The government of America was set to allow the individual to choose what is best for him/her. The Founders knew what happens when the government has complete control over the individual, which is why they built into the constitution restrictions on how much power the federal government could have.

Freedom has been handed to most Americans. Most of us have never had to fight in the name of freedom; we were born with it and we take advantage of it. We, for the longest time, have been ignorant to what it is like to live without freedom. Freedom is defined as exemption from external control, interference, regulation, etc. Now the government is in a position to start interfering with the lives of its citizens. The government that was set up to protect freedom is now taking freedom away in the name of equality, security, and compassion. Nothing is compassionate about taking away the freedom of individuals.

The American government has been infiltrated by ideologies that do not agree with the tradition of America. These ideologies take away freedom rather than give it. These ideologies do not believe in the individual.

Some people have a problem for every solution. This is what is going on in the government today. The solution has been in place for over 200 years and the people now in power create problems to combat the solution. What is going on today does not make any sense at all.

Even with everything that is happening today, America is still worth fighting for. America has always been and always will be worth fighting for. No matter what happens in the next three years with this radical, out of control administration, America will still be here ready to lead the world. Do not get depressed with what is going on in the government, get involved instead. Get excited about working to fix these problems. Get excited about getting involved. Get your family and friends to speak out and use the tools of democracy and freedom to take action.

America will always be worth fighting for!!

It looks like the only way for the Democrats to pass this monstrosity that they call health care reform is to buy votes. Many Senators are receiving  payoffs for voting in line with Senator Harry Reid. The Following is the payoffs that some Senators will receive if they pass health care reform with the Patient Protection Affordable Care Act.

• Chris Dodd (D)Connecticut – $100 Million for construction of a university hospital
• Mary Landrieu (D) Louisiana – $300 Million for Increased federal Medicaid subsidies for “certain states recovering from a major disaster’
• Ben Nelson (D) Nebraska – Permanent exemption from the state share of Medicaid expansion for Nebraska
• Bernie Sanders (I) Vermont – $10 Billion in new funding for community health centers
• Carl Levin (D) Michigan – Exemption for non-profit insurers in his state and Nebraska. All other non-profit insurers in the other 48 states must pay an excise tax.

There are most likely more of these incentives for Senators to vote for the health care bill. I thought that this bill was suppose to help all Americans but it seems like some Americans are getting more “help” than others. This is why the Patient Protection Affordable Care Act should not pass. There are to many pet projects written into the bill. One of President Obama’s campaign promises was to cut all of these pet projects out of new bills. I guess he is not worried about it.

Contact your Senators and especially Senator Ben Nelson and tell them not to vote for this bill. America deserves real health care reform not this garbage that congress is trying to pass right now.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – A new Internal Revenue Service unit set up to catch rich tax cheats hiding their wealth in complex business entities is rapidly taking shape with the hiring of hundreds of employees.

How about instead of going after these so-called “tax cheats”, the IRS go after the real tax cheats that are in this administration. The people that the IRS wants to go after are putting their money into legit businesses and most likely tax free accounts. This is what they have to do to keep some of their money because the Government is already probably taking over 50% of their money to begin with.

Come on… America is looking more and more like a Socialist/Communist country everyday.

The senate is working on their version of the health care bill. This bill is going to destroy the healthcare system  as we know it. Nothing in this bill is going to help fix the system. As I have said before a couple of things need to be done to fix the system. First is TORT reform and the second is opening up the insurance companies to be nation  wide companies. Doing these two simple things will have a great impact on the cost of health care.

When your roof is leaking, you don’t destroy the whole house and start over, do you? Of course not. This is what the left is trying to do. Destroy the whole system and start over. What I don’t understand is why are they even trying this. Socialized medicine has been tried in many different countries over the years and they all failed. Nothing about the system that they want to implement works. Why doesn’t the left see that?

What can we do? Well one of the things we can do is to let people know that this system doesn’t work. Another thing that can be done is to contact your senators and representatives in Washington and tell them not to vote for the bill. If they don’t listen to you and vote for the bill any way, vote against them in the 2010 election if they are up for reelection.

So the American People “want” health care reform and the Democrats in power aim to give it to them. You don’t replace the roof if you have a leak, you fix the leak. So it makes since not to destroy the system, just fix what is wrong with it.

If you really want the price of health insurance to go down, Congress needs to do two things:

1. TORT Reform
2. Letting health insurance companies be nationwide, not specific to certain states as they are now.

Doing these two things will dramatically lower the cost of health insurance allowing “lower class”(using lower class loosely) to afford better coverage.

There is nothing wrong with the health care system in America besides for the cost. Letting the Government get involved in the health care system would be going in the wrong direction  of the health care reform that people want.
